This presentation will review what are considered to be essential elements in preparing and implementing E-Governance programs by international organizations and governments. This includes factors as readiness assessments, planning, leadership, stakeholder consultations, sustainability and focusing more on citizen-centric services. How e-Governance applications can promote economic growth also will be addressed. Mobile-based services also will be examined. E-Municipalities will be described in terms of the Open City Portal methodology. Case examples will be presented from several countries as well as a World Bank study of the 20 most important e-Governance services.
