Aim
 

The aim of this project is to:

A1) Analyze the T leadership and coordination needs of Macao Government agencies;

A2) Design and administer training and educational programs to address some of theses needs;

A3) Link Macao SAR with international communities of experts in the area of senior and executive technology education such as the International Academy of CIO.

 
 
Objectives
 

The project is designed to achieve the following objectives:

O1) Leadership and Coordination Requirements - Establish the leadership and coordination needs, partly from the information provided in D1 of the Capacity Building for Electronic Governance;

O2) Curriculum Design - Specification of the required knowledge, skills and competences for government technology leadership and managers;

O3) Sample Courseware - Develop as an example a sample coourseware based on the curriculum;

O4) Training - Conduct training program for content developers and instructors that will use the developed curriculum;

O5) CIO Charter for Macao - Examine the feasibility for establishing a Macao SAR charter of he International Academy of CIO, drawing form experiences and practices from other Asia-Pacific economies and states operating under similar charters;

O6) Dissemination - Disseminate project outputs on the e-Macao and UNU-IIST-EGOV portals.

 
Deliverables
 

The following outputs will be produced by the project:

D1) Requirements - Document specifying IT leadership and coordination needs of the agencies;

D2) Curriculum - Specification of the knowledge areas and required skills to undertake IT leadership and coordination roles and functions in government;

D3) Courseware Development - Sample courseware developed on one of the modules to guide content developers and used as a basis for training instructors;

D4) Feasibility Notes - A summary report on the feasibility of setting up the Macao Chapter of the International CIO Academy;

D5) Project Website - Pages on the e-Macao Program Portal comprehensively describing the IT Leadership and Coordination project and its outputs.
