Aim
 

This project aims to develop policy recommendations, and establish the technical direction and guidelines for the development of a Knowledge Management program for Macao SAR Government. It also aims to assist government agencies in developing their strategic, organizational and technical capabilities in the area of Knowledge Management.

 
 
Objectives
 

The project will be designed to achieve the following objectives:

O1) Prescribe policy guidelines for the development of KM capabilities in MSAR Government Agencies, based outcome of the survey carried out in 2008 on international KM practices;

O2) Build comprehensive processes for developing selected KM initiatives in government

O3) Provide training program on KM practices for government officials in Macao;

O4) Disseminate project outcomes through the e-Macao and UNU-IIST-EGOV portals

 
Deliverables
 

The following for outputs will be produced by the project:

D1) KM Policy Recommendations for MSAR Government - A set of policy guidelines will be prescribed to assist MSAR Government in developing pilot KM initiatives;

D2) Toolkit for Specific KM Initiatives - Consists of processes or steps for developing a set of KM initiatives in government. Basic KM initiatives specified in D1 will be prioritized;

D3) Courseware - Annotated slides on KM practices in government will be developed and administered in a training program;

D4) Project Website - Pages on the e-Macao Portal to comprehensively describing the project, its outputs, and disseminate information on information sharing activities in Macao.
